Over the course of the year, the UPCHS Coding Club will introduce students to the wonders of Front End Web Development (also known as 'Web Dev' by true coding geeks). Each week, club members will learn new ways to use HTML, CSS, and Javascript to design functional web applications. At the end of the year, club members will design their own web application, and present their program to a panel of judges (with winners and prizes being awarded). Meetings are held every Tuesday, from 5:00-6:00 in the computer lab.
The Coding Club's mission is to introduce UPCHS students to computer programming and give them the fundamental skills they will need to enter college level computer science courses or design their own badass applications or games.
Design tons and tons of web applications throughout the year about Mr. Siegel's cat (or other cute animals). Though the designing of cat related web applications, UPCHS members will come to master the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
